There are many, many, MANY shots like this one out there, and it has almost become a cliche in photography circles. But you manage to pull it off gracefully and with finesse.
I particularly like the use of monochrome: it's one thing that allows this to stand apart from the rest. Another thing that caught my eye was the branching off of the trees and the many little infinite branches that are silhouetted against the clouds. They honestly look like many different nerves or neurons feeling for sensations inside a human body.
But the deduction in technique is due to the vertical squashing of the picture that occurred. Is that really how you captured it? Was it the lens or something? It detracts slightly from the aesthetic impact of the picture.
Other than that, it would sure make a wonderful background for a vampire or horror movie poster. You have managed to turn a cliched shot into a pretty one.
