Poppies Most of you have noticed that i have a little extra love for poppies. They are in my mind very charming and beautiful, their vibrant red color is so powerful. Enjoy : ) Comments Zana, like you I am drawn to the poppy plant, sadly there are few in the area of New Zealand that I live in. But before moving here from the uk, I have tried my hand at poppy photography. To me they are beautiful yet difficult to capture, and even more difficult to convert from raw formatt to the uploaded picture, as the tendency to end up with over saturated reds is so easy to end up with!! Your poppy shots though are a lesson from a true master of the photographic arts. Yours are flawless, lifelike and invite you to reach out and actually touch them, they are so vivid and real to the eye. Hence an overall comment on the folder, as all are just simply breathtaking, and I applaud your ability and genius in achieving this standard. Simon
 That's too bad, but aslong as there are some growing you can always try
to capture them. I'm lucky to have so many small poppie fields around me. I know what you mean, the conversion from raw tends like you say become over saturated. It's a balance you have to find, but the tools in camera raw are superb with CS5. Thank you so much Simon for the compliment it has made my day.  your poppies are great! usally poppies grow in fields but you can find them almost everywhere near
roads, grass, wheat or even in gardens : ) good luck finding your poppyfield. |
